Here's where we'll share and talk about our second book. If you have any questions, you can post them here, or contact me at home. I'll make sure each of you has all the information you need to blog about our book!

I had so much fun at the book club. My favorite thing we did today was when we made nature poems. My favorite part of the book was when the cob made a speech to the newborn cygnets about the begining of life and what you do in life. I am really looking forward to the next book club meeting!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, dancing princess! My favorite part was the nature poems, too. Were you there when the dragonfly landed on my stick when I was trying to be really, really still? And I loved watching all the performances of the poems. It was fun getting up on the table--even if we weren't supposed to.
ReplyDeleteNow we'll have to plan even MORE fun for the next meeting for our second book.
Since most of the people haven't really read much of it yet, I want to ask a general question--and this is for all of our club:
Do you think it's possible for anybody in America to be anything when they grow up?
And also:
If you could be anything in this world, and you didn't have to worry about money or where you lived or anything else, what would you be?
Ok Jane's best friend.
ReplyDelete1. I think so, as long as you put good work into it i mean if you wanted to be president you don't just sit down on a couch you come up with speeches and a way to make the USA a better place
2. I would proably be a dancer because it wouldn't matter to me if I got paid or not because that's what I love doing.
1.Me too, you have to spring into action and make a difference.
ReplyDelete2.Well after going to the Olympics I would work at Seaworld in the summer and a ski lodge in the winter.
I already read The Kid Who Became President and he became the PRESIDENT and so I belive that we can be whatever we want to be.
ReplyDeleteYes to doing what you love! We were just talking about that yesterday with the family. Supposedly, in life, if you do what you love, the money will follow. What do you think about that?
ReplyDeleteWhat do your moms and dads think about that? Is it possible to do what you love and still make enough money to take care of your family?
OH--I am signed in as Tumble T, when that really is someone else's account. I meant to sign in with my account--Jane's best friend. Sorry. I will next time.
ReplyDeleteThat last comment about asking your moms and dads if you can take care of your family and still do what you love is from me, not from Tumble T, like the ones before it.
I think you can become anything as long as you have the right stuff: will power, belief in yourself and a good work effort. But....Do you think that Judson ran for President for the right reasons?
ReplyDeleteNo and Yes he wanted to make a difference but running to do nothing was proably a big mistake.
ReplyDeleteSo true! He really didn't think through what he was doing, and ended up getting pulled along for the ride--and then had to decide if he really COULD make a difference.
ReplyDeleteUntil you BELIEVE that you can do something, it probably won't happen.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was interesting because Judson tried his best, and I think we should all follow his example. He also has road-bumps along the way, just a reminder that life is'nt perfect.
ReplyDeleteDo you sometimes feel that life is'nt fair?
why?
ReplyDeleteDo you sometimes think life isn't fair?
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I get mad or frustrated I feel like life isn't fair. I bet Chealsea felt like that when Judson dropped out.Poor Chealsea!! I sort of felt bad for her. I mean, I think she really had her mind set on being the first lady.
(By the way I was there when the dragon fly landed on your stick)It was so cool!!
I didn't feel so bad for Chealsea...she just wanted to be seen. I felt bad for Abby, Judson's best (girl) friend that he did not ask to be first Babe because she was not as pretty as Chealesa. Will they ever be good friends again?
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they made an amendment that lets kids have a chance to become president. However they did I bet it was hard!I'm not sure if they will become friends again. I havn't gotten that far in the book yet.
ReplyDeleteSince I have no followers on the fourth grade blog...may I join in and blog with the rising 5th graders?
ReplyDeleteSure! That would be great! More friends to discuss the book with. Yay!! :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to ask, mluse if you read the 1st book what did it do with what's happining now,
ReplyDeleteTo answer that, I need you to tell me what is happening right now in your book. Then maybe I can answer your question.
ReplyDeleteI am at the part where Judson gets a tutor. I like the part where he says,"By the time she got to World War One,I figured,I'd be her age!" I thought that was so funny.
ReplyDeleteWell, Judson jokes quite a lot. He was never serious about running for office. Judson starting missing a lot of school at the end of book 1, but he did not have a tutor.
ReplyDeleteI read the part where Judson tries to resolve the problem between cantania and boraguay. Instead of having a war he played video games with the leader of cantania.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be awesome if we could play video games instead of having a war?
Yes Dancing Princess but only because no war I would rather be reading
ReplyDeleteAnd Mluse in this book he is president and dealing with responsibility's.
Also
I have a question for everybody. When Lane left Judson you could tell how Judson felt. How would you feel?
